I love the colours, but doesn´t the models look a bit old?

TREND REPORT 2011
2010 was a good year for fashion, and I believe that 2011 will be even better! I´m exited to see the new trends this year and the old trends that we all love so much. Here´s some of the top-trends from the catwalk – spring/summer 2011.
BACK TO THE 70S
This is not a trend that I´ve been working on for myself, but I love seeing it when it´s well executed!

THE MINIMALISM WE LOVE
This trend is in my heart, and a big designer within this trend is Celiné. This year the colour tones and fabrics in focus have changed.

GOING LONG
Maxi dresses, maxi skirts and maxi everything! You can do this style both for fancy dinner-parties and for an everyday look. It all depends on the fabric, really.

PRINT IT UP
The trend I can´t get enough of. Think bigger, louder, more playful and expressive than ever, this spring.

BRIGHT UP YOUR DAY WITH COLOURS
Super intense colours with bright orange, turquoise, honeysuckle pink and yellow were dominating the palette for the season. A lot of the designers played with paring intense colours together. So should we.

LOUNGEWEAR INSPIRATION
Drapey weekend trousers, matching printed tops and bottoms, and nightgown-esque slip dresses. Sexy, casual, and very appealing.

What do you think about this years trends? I´m really looking forward to spring – wearing lots of colours and light clothing.
Isabel Marant – Fall Winter 2010/2011
How fantastic isn’t this?
Antonio Marras
Do the style a cheaper way; This is like typical Antonio Marras, and it’s my favourite look, so I found a way to do the style more me, and affordable.
It’s about stripes, layering and stockings.
I have put it together to match how I would have done it; Stripes both under and at the top – layering (t-shirt, blouse, cardigan). I took the skirt and the stockings in the same colour, and added a hat and a statement-necklace – Antonio Marras always has cute headpieces and details around the bust, so I went with that too.
What do you think? To much with both the t-shirt and the cardigan?

Womens trend report f/w2010
They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about. I can’t wait for H&M’s collection to come out, I mean, they’re doing everything right!

Cheap but still cool
I figured I’d post something for us poor people, that can’t buy expensive designer clothes no matter how much we want it. Cheaper shops like h&m, lindex, topshop and zara often get their inspiration from big brands. Alexander McQueen:
Well, you don’t have to ruin yourself to look cool. Tights from Ellos, dress from Bik Bok, jacket from TSH, dress from Topshop. I mean, you can find similar clothing to those on the catwalk everywhere – you just have to look for it.
I love Alexander McQueen graphic prints and sculptural pieces. I’m definately going to buy some pieces that looks like this. What to you think?
source: klikk.no and collages put together by Stella, Svein-Erik Tøraasen. The page doesn’t come in English, so I wanted to show you. For dere norske, siden er fantastisk bra, så hvis dere ikke har vært på den før(jeg fant den ganske nylig) så må dere sjekke den ut.

the famous wang
You may have noticed that everyone have their hair in a braid. Then you may also know that this is what they call the famous “Wang Braid”. This trend has made me want my long hair back! If you have long hair, this will suit you, no matter what. This may be old news for some of you, but I haven’t made a post about it yet.
Most people like it simple, just the way Wang uses it, and goes for a natural look with less make-up. My favourite styling for this would be having smokey-eyes and sequins for a night out. The point is that you can have this braid for whatever occasion!
If you haven’t tried it yet, or don’t know how, here’s the “recipe”;
- Spread some mousse in towel-dried hair. If you do this, the hair will be much easier to work with.
- Let your hair air-dry, or use the hair-dryer gently until the hair is half-dried.
- Now, move all your hair to one side and merge it into a loose braid.
- If you let some of your hair hang loose around it. It will look more natural and random.
- You can merge it into a tight braid, and then use your fingers to drag it out a little.
- Finish with a good hair-spray!
The whole Alexander Wang runway show S/S10.
Alexander Wang uses the braid on every model in this runway-show. The whole show consists of this sporty-style which is so trendy this spring. Alexander Wang is the one behind the “trendiest” trends this spring, in my opinion. These two trends is the two hottest ones, and both come from Wang.
I love Wang, don’t you? What do you think?
Chanel S/S 2010 shoes
I think Karl Lagerfield has done a great job creating this years shoes for S/S. There was a lot of great shoes to see on the runway. I especially love the clogs, I’m seriously considering getting a pair.
To be honest, everything from Chanels S/S collection has been stunning.

You can have whatever you like, A/W
A little of Sonia Rykiels collection for A/W 2010. Don’t you love it, too?
There are so many beautiful collections for A/W. As I said in a previous post; I’m almost drowning, but I love it. Do you have any favourites?
I’m sorry, but I can’t seem to remember where I got these pictures. Does anyone know?

Viktor & Rolf F/W at Paris Fashion Week
I’ve actually never heard of this before, but as soon as I saw this video from the fashion show… I have no words.
If I should mention one thing it would be that I don’t think it is an entirely good ide for the designers to stand on the catwalk taking care of the clothes. It takes away some of the attention – what do you think?
