THREE LOOKS I LOVE

I´m having fun playing in polyvore. Love the site, I use it all the time. Here are three looks I put together a while back, all perfect for me, and maybe for you too?

This is a loose and comfy look, wedge/heels, loose pants and a cropped top – or a striped and loose dress. Super cool, and comfy!

This look is super feminine, cute and.. ah, just sweet. I´m not the biggest fan of pink, but hey, this look I can´t resist. And pink is a breath of fresh air once in a while.

This is what I like to call the “city-look“. Picture yourself wandering around the streets in New York looking like this, perfect right? It´s elegant and professional. Match this with a pair of sky-high pumps and oh.. you´re looking hot.

UGGS FOR SPRING

I know many of you might not like Uggs, but they’re quite comfy, and warm on a chilly spring-day, believe me. Daniel Footwear is now out with their Uggs Spring/Summer collection. It might not be something to walk around shopping in, but they sure are handy once in a while!

TRENDY ACCESSORIES

 

An old outfit can be changed into a fashionable look in seconds if you combine it with killer shoes, handbags and accessories. Therefore, wearing a new piece of jewelry when you wear your old little black dress again, would make you look new. Make it big, both in rings and necklaces – here´s some tips for you;

I am a big fan of big, chunky statement necklaces and rings.. bracelets, not so much. If I want to wear jeans(which I rarely do) I usually put on a simple t-shirt and a blazer, but I “funk” up the outfit with an awesome necklace and a big ring.

WHITE IN THE DARK

It´s winter, it´s cold and dark – in Norway at least – and it´s time to brighten up our days. White dresses are the way to go;

Malin Akerman, Michelle Williams, Brittany Snow, Lauren Conrad & Jessica Alba in white.

Well.. I´d have to wear it in a warmer combo, but you get the picture, right? I´m courious; what´s the weather like where you live?

White actually makes you look much more tanned and younger, and can brighten up your day – if you wear black, you might feel down when it´s dark, but if you wear white you might feel cheerful. That´s how it is with me. You can mix it with colourful accessories, a pair of killer pumps and a clutch for parties.

Go for a dress with fun details like feathers, lace and ribbons to make the outfit look more interesting. And if you´re having a cold, “snowy” winter like me, you might want to use a warm coat and some tights to go over the dress when you´re outside

GOLDEN GLOBE DRESSES

The trend went from bright colors like emerald-green and red, to soft powdery colorsand and voluminous dresses.

Here are some of the dresses;

Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock and Olivia Wilde.

Christina Hendricks, Edie Falco and January Jones.

Claire Danes, Emma Stone and Nicole Kidman.

Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway.

Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman & Halle Berry failed in my eyes, and Angelina’s dress is a dress I can’t make up my mind about. I also think that to many of the stars went to save when they dressed, some just looked to plane.

I have some favourites, that I think really looked good on the red carpet;

Olivia Wilde looked like a goddess in this Marchesa gown! Gold sequins on a chocolate brown tulle. She didn’t overdo it with lots of jewelry, but let the dress talk for itself. It’s an amazing dress on an amazingly beautiful woman. Look at her smile!

Catherine Zeta Jones in a stunning emerald-green Monique Lullier strapless gown. This colour on her skin tone and to her hair is just perfect! Don’t ever fire your stylist Catherine.

Talking about school.

I rarely wear pants , so skirts are something I always wear for school. I never ever wear sweatpants.  I actually use quite some time to find out what to wear. What are you wear for school?

Light or dark brows?

Dark brows;

1. - Are you naturally endowed with powerful eyebrows it’s probably what suits you best. But that doesn’t mean you can’t pick out wild hairs and let them look neat.
2. – If you’re going for the dark eyebrows, red lips makes the look elegant and classic. Red lips are in now, so it will make the look complete
3. – If you want them really dark, remember not to use too much make-up –  go for a light and fresh make-up to compensate for the dark and heavy brows.

Light brows;

1. - This look fits a light and harmonic make-up – a soft look.
2. - If you have a big forehead this is not the look for you, cuz light brows makes the forehead look bigger.

I’m personally a big fan of dark eyebrows, and I actually think people with bleached eyebrows look like aliens(not always off course). Dark brows are wearable everywhere, school or party, while light ones are kind of… catwalk style(in my opinion).

We all love Rachel Zoe, don´t we? Loved it when season three of The Rachel Zoe project started running on TV. I was so happy when the news of her being pregnant came out. I think it´s going to be the worlds most well dressed baby…
